Paul Moran Appointed as Special Advisor to Rangers FC

Rangers Football Club has announced the appointment of Paul Moran, as a special advisor to its board.

Paul, Managing Director of Mediaworks has been a long-time fan of the beleaguered Glasgow club.

“One of my earliest childhood memories is making the trip across to Glasgow with my Dad to watch the Gers play in Ibrox. They stuffed Hibs 3-0”

“I fell in love with Rangers that day. The noise, the blue shirts and especially the chants from the supporters. All of my school friends were Celtic, Liverpool or Leeds fans. But I was always a Rangers boy,” he says.

“I hope that my business acumen and expertise will help to revive the fortunes of Rangers Football Club. I can’t wait to roll up my sleeves and get stuck into the challenge and I am particularly relishing the challenge of returning Rangers back to the Scottish Premiership and beating the likes of Celtic, a team which we have enjoyed many friendly duel with down through the years."

Rangers have fallen on hard times since their demotion in 2012 to the Third Division of Scotland’s Football League. They currently sit in third position in the Scottish Championship (the second tier of Scottish football) and are 22 points behind runaway leaders Hearts. Moran, however, would not comment when asked if Mediaworks had pitched for the Rangers media account, which is understood to be worth around £1,750 a year.
